What About Recent NDIS Recommendations
- These changes are only recommendations at the moment with 5 years to implement
- The name will change to navigator
- Specialised navigator verticals with a local knowledge emphasis is a fantastic idea
- You will have to be registered with the NDIS (this is overdue)
- You will have to be independent (this is overdue)
- One thing for sure is the disability sector is going to need more highly skilled ‘support coordinators’ or navigators as they will be supporting all people with disability and not just those on the NDIS (this is overdue)
